Takanami-no-zu is a painting depicting the tsunami in 1854 in which details such as fired rice sheaves and people escaping to Hiro Hachiman-jinja Shrine. It is transmitted from the time of the 21st chief priest of Enko-ji Temple but the author is unknown. It seems that a person with a cane and wearing a hat watches the state of the village near a single pine tree in the middle where the high waves have gathered. It seems to be Hamaguchi Goryo from the appearance of accompanying person, but details are still mysterious.
